A NEW KIND OF RECIPE....Homemade Blush!
While making up recipes in the kitchen is one of my favorite things to do, I must admit that whipping up homemade natural beauty products comes in at a close second.
I'm always aware of all the chemicals and preservatives put in our food, and its no different when it comes to make-up! I love experimenting with making natural make-up products so I know exactly what is in it and being absored through my skin.
Here's my latest creation, homemade (non-toxic) blush!
1/2 teaspoon of Arrowroot Powder
1/2 teaspoon Hibiscus Powder
1/2 teaspoon Beet Root Powder
You will have to play around with the amounts to suit your skin tone. Start with it on the lighter side and slowly add more until you get the desired colour match. If you would like a darker shade, you could also experiment with adding a slight pinch of cocoa powder to darken the powder.
I found all the ingredients at my local health food store, but they can also be purchased online or made at home by grinding the dried vegetable or flowers.
Give it try and leave me a comment to let me know how you like it!
